Red Bluff is located in the Sacramento
Valley which is in the northern half of the Great Central Valley
of California. Mountains surrounding the city on three sides
form a huge horseshoe. The Coastal range is located about 30
miles west, the Sierra Nevada system about 40 miles to the east,
and the Cascade range about 50 miles northeast and north, completeing
the horseshoe. The western portion of the valley floor is composed
of oak and grass woodland range.
Red Bluff is home to the North State's best
rodeo, a popular bull and gelding sale, boat drag races, two
annual parades, summer concerts in the park, a performing arts
center and a community center.
William B. Adobe State Historical Park was authorized
as a state historical monument and other historical buildings
leave Red Bluff graced with history.
