Gayle's Tuxedo Rentals 'N Casual Cloths is more
than the name reveals. Specializing in cloths for women, Gayle
tries to have the basic clothing for the casual community we
live in. They have unique jewelry, scarves, some men's shirts
and accessories along with electric gifts. Gayle says "You
never know what is going to pop up here as part of our ever
changing inventory."
Gayle's rents Tuxedo's for Weddings, Proms,
Quincineras and all other special occasions. Personalized services
and fit on each Tuxedo.
Serving the public in Tehama County and Northern
California since 1956 - Bill and Gayle Kemp have many retail
experiences. Gayle grew up in the Red Bluff area, in and around
her families food service business, (18 establishment in all).
Gayle learned to count change to the Troop Train
in Gerber in the mid-forties and represented the community as
Miss Tehama County in 1954. Bill returned from the service in
1956 and went to work for Retterath's (Success to Wright &
Co.) becoming partner and owner in sequence. The Kemps were
married in 1966. Some of their activities include Gayle in Junior
Women's Club, March of Dimes, 4-H Leader and Council president,
Pres. of Downtown Women merchants Association, Chamber of Commerce
Pres. 89-90, and Director of the Historic Red Bluff Association.
Bill has been involved with 15 years as DeMolay Advisor, 15
years as 4-H Advisor, Tehama County Red Cross, Merchants Chair.
of Chamber of Commerce and Rotary President in 81-82.
Retiring from the Stationary Store in 1986,
Gayle went to work in M'Ladys and Bill to a Hardware Store.
Gayle opened "Gayle Maries Fashions" in 1992 (closed
in 1996 to retire 1 month) and opened GAYLE"S Casual Cloths
in January 1997. Gayle and her 6 children were all born in St.
Elizabeth Hospital in Red Bluff. The Kemp family continues to
grow with fourteen grandchildren.
