Jones Jewelers was family owned from 1946 to
2001. Sterling and Alice Jones first purchased the business
from george Wilkins. Their son Donald G. Jones, who was born
in Red Bluff, returned to run the family business after his
father became ill in 1977.
Donald is a member of Rotary Club, Wilcox Oaks
Golf Club and the Presbyterian Church. He actively supports
American Legion baseball, Red Bluff Roundup, and sponsors Red
Bluff High School Sports, the performing Arts and Ballet North.
Donald also serves the community as a member of the County Planning
Commission.
Now, Gary Ramsey Jewelers, they have five employees,
deal in fine jewelry, custom jewelry, watch repair, baby gifts,
china, crystal, and silver gift ware.
The history of the building reflects an active
past. In the mid 1800's, there was a blacksmith shop on the
alley. There once was an earthen basement. It has since been
filled in. The front was two shops, one for jewelry the other
a dental office. It remained this way until the early 1950's.
Supporting Red Bluff in many ways, the friendly
people of Gary Ramsey Jewelers are proud to be a part of and
serve the community.
